The ANC in Limpopo joins the people of Limpopo, in mourning the death of Cde Dick Muditambi – a veteran of the struggle and hero of our people.
Cde Muditambi passed away on Monday, 04 March 2019, 2 days after the death of another ANC Comrade – Rosina Mogotlane.
Cde Dick, as he was affectionately known, like his contemporaries joined the ANC at the height of apartheid, and went into exile.
He received extensive military training in countries like Angola, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, and was part of the first MK Operatives to be incorporated into the now SANDF.
He belonged to the same league of ANC greats that included Jacob Marule, Samson Ratshivhanda Ndou, Rashaka Ratshitanga, and a host of others who understood that servitude meant putting the interests of ‘our people, first’.
He served in Executive Committees of the ANC Veterans League at the Regional, Provincial and National Level. He was a resource to the ANC and has provided counsel to many leaders within the movement – he was an advisor to former Premier Sello Moloto, at some stage.
Cde Dick’s death comes at a time when the ANC is inundated with the death cases of Cde Rosina Mogotlane (MPL), and Cde Fanny Lekola – former Mayor of Ephraim Mogale Municipality in Sekhukhune.
Details of Cde Dick Muditambi’s funeral will be communicated in due course.
May his soul rest in peace.
