Manyeleti Game Reserve, Limpopo

Manyeleti Game Reserve, Limpopo

Manyeleti(meaning “Place of Stars”) Game Reserveborders Kruger Park, adjacent to Orpen Gate, and stretches to the borders of Sabi Sands and Timbavati game reserves. Animals including the big 5, roam freely from Kruger Park into the Manyeleti, since there is no fence, making Manyeleti integrally part of the ecology of the area. Subsequent to South Africa’s democratization process, Manyeleti was returned to the Mnisi tribe after a successful land claim process. The Mnisi tribe now manage the reserve with commitments to retaining the park’s integrity and developing the tourism potential, to the benefit of all the local communities in the area.

All lodges are privately owned and accommodation ranges from a bush camp to luxury lodges offering exclusive safari experiences on par with the best of Sabi Sands and Timbavati. Manyeleti is hot and drier in summer than down south, but the climate is identical to central Kruger Park.
